    Product details at a glance:

    • Repositionable tumour localisation system for the preoperative marking of non-palpable, suspicious breast lesions

    Marking wire:

    • Extremely sharp ground section of the wire tip for a confident penetration of solid tumour tissue
    • Optimal visibility during mammography and ultrasound, thanks to the special material and surface qualities in combination with the arched form of the marking wire
    • Monofilament wire provides the highest stability of form and pressure resistance combined with flexibility
    • No breakage risk, even in harder tissue
    • Improved retaining power minimising dislocation
    • Depth markings assist the operator to calculate the position of the arches
    • Depth markings provide information on the distance to the tumour centre
    • Supplied clip enables the wire to remain fixed in place after application

    Puncture cannula:

    • Depth markings on the cannula shaft allow for an optimal orientation during the application
    • High needle stability
    • Particularly sharp and atraumatic due to the faceted bevel
    • Good lubricating features due to the cannula coating

    • Packaging Unit: 10 pieces

With the adjustable localisation system Tuloc®, SOMATEX® provides a proven and reliable solution for the preoperative marking of non-palpable, suspicious breast lesions.

The Tuloc® marking wire consists of a monofilament, laser-cut Nitinol wire with double-arch shape. The top of the double arches are extremely sharp-bevelled and ensure a patient-friendly application and simultaneous safe penetration of solid tumour tissue. The shape of the double arches enables the marking wire in the event of a positional correction to retract to the puncture cannula again and then to release anew. Here, the user is guided by two markings, which indicate to him the position of the double arches - inside or outside of the cannula.

The Tuloc® marking wire is distinguished by the highest stability of form and pressure and improved retaining power to prevent unsteadiness even in harder tissues. The 2 cm long depth marking* around the marker wire provides the operator with an even better visual and tactile reference point to the lesion and prevents the accidental severance of the wire during the radiographic and surgical procedure.

Its special material and surface qualities together with the arched form of the localisation wire provide optimum visibility during mammography and ultrasound.

The puncture cannula of the Tuloc Premium is quite rigid and has a sharp-faceted bevel. Subsequently, the penetration of the skin is particularly atraumatic and patient-friendly. In addition, the puncture cannula has good lubricating features due to its coating. Depth markings on the cannula shaft allow for optimal depth orientation during the procedure.

The Tuloc® is ready for immediate use because it is supplied sterile and preloaded.

*The Tuloc cannula and the Tuloc wire are not suited for use in MRI - for this purpose we recommend to use the Tuloc MRI instead.
