    With the MRI compatible repositionable localisation system Tuloc® MRI , SOMATEX® provides a long-standing and reliable solution for the preoperative marking of non-palpable, suspicious breast lesions.

    The Tuloc® marking wire consists of a monofilament, laser-cut Nitinol wire with double-arch shape. The tips of the double arches are extremely sharp-bevelled and ensure a patient-friendly application and simultaneous safe penetration of solid tumour tissue. The shape of the double arches enables, if required, a repositioning of the marker wire in that it is retracted into the puncture cannula and subsequently released again. Markings on the wire provide the operator with information on whether the wire is located inside or outside of the cannula.

    The Tuloc® MRI marking wire is distinguished by the highest stability of form and resistance to pressure and improved retaining power to prevent dislocation even in harder tissues. Centimetre markings on the marker wire give the operator reliable information about the distance to the distal end of the wire during the surgical procedure. Its special material and surface qualities together with the arched form of the Tuloc wire provide optimal visibility in MRI and good tactile features during the surgical procedure.

    The puncture cannula of Tuloc MRI is made of a cobalt-chromium alloy and is distinguished by its high rigidity and the particularly sharp and atraumatic sharp bevelled edge. Subsequently, the penetration of the skin is particularly patient-friendly. In addition, the puncture cannula has good lubricating features due to its coating. Depth markings on the cannula shaft allow for optimal depth orientation during the procedure.

    The Tuloc® MRI is ready for immediate use because it is supplied sterile and preloaded.
