SOMATEX® extends the product family for percutaneous drainage of abscesses. The new Dual sump drainage set with a double-lumen catheter has proved successful particularly in the treatment of highly viscous accumulations of fluid. The separate lumen inside the catheter facilitates e.g. administration of an isotonic saline solution for irrigation and also application of a topical drug to accelerate wound healing.
