Teltow, September 16, 2005. SOMATEX® Medical Technologies reacts to the increasing demand of other medical device suppliers and now offers its disposable minimum invasive instruments as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM). A new OEM Division was set up in order to make cooperations easier and to push ahead with them.
”As a constantly growing company we have seen the great potential of such a cooperation”, explains Chris Neumann, head of the newly founded SOMATEX® OEM Division. ”And the experience we have gained in the first almost two months have fully met our expectations.”
First of all, SOMATEX® will focus its OEM offerings to those products already established on the market in the areas of vertebroplasty, mammography, hematology, antenatal diagnostics and magnet resonance imaging (MRI). In addition, the company will make its technical know-how and its production facilities available to other distributors and manufacturers.
From November 16 - 18, 2005 the SOMATEX® OEM Division will - for the first time - participate in the ComPaMED trade fair in Düsseldorf (Germany).

The company SOMATEX® Medical Technologies GmbH specializes in the development and manufacturing of disposable minimally invasive instruments in the areas of tumor ablation, vertebroplasty, biopsy and oncology.
In addition to the manufacturing of standard instruments for diagnostic and therapeutical procedures, SOMATEX® develops innovative special products and new instruments based on what treating physicians precisely need. Since 1992, the company constantly develops new medical therapy concepts and realizes them in their products in close cooperation with physicians, hospitals and university clinics. Its focus is set on methods and instruments allowing minimally invasive operations using magnetic resonance imaging. In the past few years, the SOMATEX® has also intensified its activities aiming at the development of new procedures and instruments used to treat painful vertebral compression fractures, for example caused by osteoporosis.
