Teltow, June 27, 2005. The company SOMATEX® Medical Technologies achieved the quality seal ”TOP 100” for its excellent innovative accomplishments. The award was given to the company by TOP 100 patron Lothar Späth on June 22, 2005, at the awards ceremony at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Berlin.
The quality seal ”Top 100” is awarded annually in the framework of a Germany-wide comparison study analysing innovation results and innovation management of medium-sized companies. The study is carried out by Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke from the Vienna University of Economics. |

SOMATEX® Medical Technologies represents one of only eight companies located in the new federal German states that managed to be listed among the hundred most innovative medium-sized enterprises in Germany. The study particularly stresses the excellent innovation climate at SOMATEX: ”The company’s employees submit more suggestions for improvement than the average of the TOP 100 firms.” According to the study, this proves that the company has recognized the great innovative potential of its employees and makes use of it accordingly. Another positive aspect has been - among others - that a fixed budget is set aside for highly innovative, but risky projects (internal venture capital).
