SAFE-CUT® – Bone Marrow Biopsy System
The SAFE-CUT®  puncture system is a new system for the puncture and removal of histological tissue from the region of the iliac crest. It guarantees an adequate result of sufficient quantity which is free of squished artefacts or other drawbacks and which meets the requirements of pathological analyzability.

The specially developed LOCK WIRE technology of the SAFE-CUT system provides for the 100 % secure safeguarding of the biopsy specimen inside the cannula.

This excellent performance has been confirmed by a comparison study* that evaluated all of the 60 bone marrow puncture systems for the iliac crest region. Moreover, the study also attests that, compared with conventional systems, the SOMATEX SAFE-CUT®  system provides for significantly reduced patient trauma as well as minimized strain on the doctor performing the puncture.
