SOMATEX® soft drainage sets are used for percutaneous abscess and fluid drainage. In particular they are used for the treatment of cysts, pseudocysts, abscesses, haematomas, seromas, urinomas, bilomas or other encapsulated fluid collections. SOMATEX® offers different drainage systems with intelligent features for diverse clinical requirements and entry techniques as well as different methods of fluid collection. All drainage catheters are produced from soft, unbendable and radiopaque plastic and are available in different diameters.

  • SOMATEX® drainage catheters are produced from soft and unbendable polyurethane.
  • The high barium sulphate content provides good x-ray contrast.
  • The surface of the catheter is extremely smooth.
  • The large oval eyes on the side allow the best-possible drainage.
  • SOMATEX® soft drainage sets are equipped as complete packages and contain a secretion bag, attaching tape, a three-way valve and depending of the type of set additional components.
